In Spring there are plenty of occasions to learn more about customs and traditions of English speaking countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are two spring activities that we enjoyed. The first one was something new for the pupils, while the second is a \u201ctradition\u201d recently adopted by Greek children.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Easter Egg Hunt<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Easter Bunny visited our school just before the Easter break and hid paper eggs all around our school yard! The Bunny was tricky, though! He wrote a silly command on each egg, such as \u201cSing a Song\u201d, \u201cCount to Twenty\u201d, \u201cSit on The Grass\u201d or \u201cTell Five Colors\u201d. Pupils hunted for the eggs and as soon as they did what was written on them, they were given a little chocolate egg! We had lots of fun trying to get as many eggs as possible!<\/span><\/p>\n

A noisy outdoor activity is always welcome from time to time!<\/span><\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s Day Craft<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday we made cards for Mother\u2019s Day that is celebrated today. A handmade craft cheers every mommy up!<\/span><\/p>\n

We also learnt a lovely rhyme for this special day:<\/span><\/p>\n

Every mouse and bumblebee
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Every bird up in a tree,
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Every caterpillar and ladybug,
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Love’s to feel his mother’s hug.
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

\nEvery bear so fat and funny
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Loves his mother more than honey.
\n<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Just as woodland creatures do
