Today I chose to read <strong><em>Where the Wild Things Are <\/em><\/strong> (a 1963\u00a0<a title=\"Children's literature\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Children%27s_literature\">children&#8217;s<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Picture_book\">picture book<\/a> by American writer and illustrator\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maurice_Sendak\">Maurice Sendak<\/a>) to the students in Grade 6. The story appealed to them as the plot is \u201cwild\u201d and they did enjoy the beautiful illustrations. We talked about Max\u2019s feelings, dreams, fantasy and animals as the \u201cwild things\u201d in the book are a combination of different animals.
